Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and oversee operations when acting as Manager on Duty. You will supervise Associates, uphold safety, and ensure clean, well-merchandised spaces while supporting the Company’s operational processes.

The role requires strong communication, supervisory experience, and familiarity with POS systems. You must be available to work evenings and weekends in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure shopping environment.
• Supervises Associates and manages store operations when on duty.
• Ensures merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
• Executes and supervises Company operational processes.
• Manages Front End operations to reduce customer wait times.
• Trains and coaches Associates on cash registers and policies.
• Oversees payroll administration and scheduling as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Store Manager.
