Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to manage a defined store area and assist store leadership with daily operations. You will supervise Associates, ensure proper merchandising, and maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming shopping environment.

The role also covers opening/closing duties and executing company processes as needed. The Area Supervisor will support front-end, loss prevention, and merchandising standards while coaching team members and maintaining strong customer service levels

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail.

Responsibilities

• Lead Store Operations as Manager on Duty when required.
• Open and close the store and supervise Associates.
• Ensure merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
• Uphold safety, loss prevention, and store security.
• Train and coach Associates on POS and checkout procedures.
• Manage floor presence to reduce customer wait times.
• Oversee stockroom organization and back stock control.
