Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and oversee daily operations. You will supervise Associates, open and close the store, and ensure a friendly, easy-to-shop environment with standards for merchandise presentation and cleanliness.

You will implement Company processes, support safety, and assist with front-end and merchandising tasks while maintaining a focus on loss prevention and customer service.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open/close store and supervise associates during shifts.
• Maintain safe and secure store environment and enforce loss prevention.
• Ensure merchandise presentation and stockroom organization meet standards.
• Supervise front-end operations and cash handling procedures.
• Coach and train associates, manage schedules and backups.
• Assist in receiving, pricing, signage and promotional activities.
