Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to manage a specific store area and support store operations when acting as Manager on Duty. You will open/close the store, supervise Associates, ensure a friendly, easy-to-shop environment, and maintain merchandising presentation and clean, safe work areas.

You will execute Company processes, train and coach staff, and uphold loss prevention and front-end standards while maintaining customer service excellence across shifts.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and professional interaction with customers and Associates.
• Fluent in English with clear written and spoken communication.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for transactions and inventories.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations and area responsibilities as acting Manager on Duty.
• Open/close the store, supervise Associates and ensure a friendly shopping environment.
• Maintain merchandise presentation, cleanliness and safety across the area.
• supervise cash handling, front-end processes and loss prevention practices.
• Coordinate stockrooms, back stock and floor moves to company standards.
• Enforce company policies and operating procedures, including safety rules.
