Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. in Noblesville, Indiana is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and supervise staff, ensuring merchandise presentation, safety, and daily operations are performed to company standards.

You will open/close the store, supervise associates, maintain a safe environment, train front-end staff, support merchandising and stockroom activities, and uphold loss prevention practices while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the Store, supervise Associates and maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and a clean work area at all times; execute and supervise operational processes.
• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment by following safety procedures and reporting hazards.
• Oversee security tasks including EAS devices, Cash Office security, and access control; ensure loss prevention measures.
• Provide strong customer service, treating customers and associates with respect and professionalism.
• Train and coach Front End staff on cash handling and checkout procedures; manage line flow to reduce wait times.
• Support merchandising efforts, stockroom organization, back-stock security, and timely restocking.
• Handle administrative duties as assigned by Store Manager, including scheduling and payroll tasks.
