Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a store area, supervise Associates, and ensure smooth daily operations. You will open/close the store, uphold presentation standards, and enforce safety and loss prevention policies. The role requires strong people skills and hands-on leadership.

Reporting to Store Manager, you will train staff, manage front-end activities, and handle cashier procedures while maintaining a positive, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Experience in supervisory roles and store operations.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates as Manager on Duty.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and a clean, organized sales floor.
• Ensure safety, loss prevention, and compliance with store policies.
• Train and coach Associates on cash registers and front-end procedures.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
