Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific store area and the overall operations when Manager on Duty. You will open/close the store, supervise Associates, and maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment.

Responsibilities include ensuring merchandise presentation, clean work areas, and adherence to company processes. You will support loss prevention and front-end operations, training staff and managing floor moves.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety as the top priority and model safe behaviors.
• Supervise associates and ensure friendly, easy-to shop environment.
• Ensure merchandise presentation and cleanliness to standard.
• Execute company operational processes as needed.
• Lead front end operations to manage lines and speed.
• Train and coach associates on cash registers and shortage controls.
• Manage payroll and scheduling as assigned.
