Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and oversee operations when acting as Manager on Duty. You’ll open/close the store, supervise associates, maintain a clean, organized environment, and ensure merchandising standards are met.

You will enforce safety, assist in front-end operations, support loss prevention, and deliver exceptional customer service while upholding Ross values and brand integrity across the team.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and fluent English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations used in retail.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure store environment, reporting unsafe conditions.
• Supervise Associates and ensure a friendly, orderly shopping experience.
• Uphold company brand standards, merchandising and cleanliness.
• Assist in front-end operations, cashier training, and wait-time management.
• Handle administrative duties as assigned by Store Manager.
