Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a defined store area and assist the Store Manager on Duty. You will supervise Associates, ensure safe operations, and maintain merchandising standards to deliver a positive shopping experience.

This role requires strong leadership, experience in customer service, and the ability to manage front-end activities, loss prevention, and routine store maintenance. Evening and weekend shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates when Manager on Duty.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized store environment with proper merchandise presentation.
• Ensure stockroom upkeep and adherence to merchandising standards.
• Enforce company processes and loss prevention practices.
• Train and coach Associates on cash handling and front-end procedures.
• Manage front-end operations to minimize customer wait times and improve service.
