Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and oversee daily operations when acting as Manager on Duty. The role emphasizes safe, customer-focused store management and adherence to company standards.

You will supervise associates, ensure proper merchandising, and maintain a clean, secure store environment while executing front-end procedures and loss prevention practices.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• The Area Supervisor opens/closes the store and supervises associates during the Manager on Duty shift.
• Maintains a friendly, easy-to-shop environment through proper merchandising and clean work areas.
• Executes Company Best Practices and maintains security, loss prevention, and safety procedures.
• Trains and coaches associates on cash registers, shortage control and front-end procedures.
• Manages floor presence, back stock, and signage to ensure timely merchandising and shelf replenishment.
