Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. seeks an Area Supervisor to oversee a defined store area and assist with overall operations as Manager on Duty. You’ll open/close the store, supervise associates, and maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains Safe & Secure Environments and ensures safety is the priority.
• Oversees opening and closing the store; supervises associates; ensures a friendly shopping environment.
• Maintains proper merchandising and clean work areas; executes company operational processes.
• Manages front-end supervision and operations to maximize efficiency and customer service.
• Performs loss prevention duties and safeguards information, cash, and merchandise.
• Completes administrative duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
