Meijer Inc. is seeking an Area Leader to oversee team member engagement and drive recognition, coaching, and development within the span of care. You will guide Leads and Team Leaders and be accountable for area operations and financial results while promoting Meijer’s culture.

You will lead onboarding, training and development efforts, review talent needs, and ensure adherence to safety and performance standards across the area. This role emphasizes collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• A passion to provide industry leading service.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with team members to provide clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information to make informed decisions.
• Demonstrates commitment to safety and working safely at all times.
• Strong business acumen and ability to drive store performance.

• Engages with team to ensure onboarding, training and development, and coaching.
• Identifies talent and supports staffing for store leadership roles.
• Holds candid discussions to uphold Meijer standards and promote growth.
• Owns area operations and financial results, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Drives safety, compliance, and store condition management.
• Directs Team Leaders and Leads in daily tasks and training needs.
• May perform other duties as assigned or required.
