Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an Area Leader to drive team engagement and oversee area operations and financial performance. You will coach Leads and Team Leaders, manage staffing, and implement process improvements while upholding Meijer’s culture.

You will foster onboarding and development, conduct talent discussions, and ensure safety and compliance across the span of care. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with 4+ years in retail or service, is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication and decision-making skills.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information.
• Commitment to safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Onboard and coach team members with training and feedback.
• Identify talent and plan staffing for a diversified talent pipeline.
• Lead area operations and manage P&L budget and staffing.
• Ensure safety, store conditions, and compliance procedures.
• Direct Team Leaders and Leads in daily work and training.
