Job summary

Meijer is seeking an Area Leader to drive engagement and performance across a span of care. You will coach Leads and Team Leaders, manage onboarding, training, and development, and oversee area operations and financials, including scheduling, productivity, and safety.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years in retail or customer service with progressive leadership experience. You will shape staffing, ensure Meijer standards, and lead process improvements while upholding our inclusive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with team members clearly.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information to inform decisions.

Responsibilities

• Engage with team members to provide onboarding, training and coaching.
• Identify talent and support staffing and leadership pipelines.
• Hold candid discussions to uphold Meijer standards and growth.
• Oversee area operations and financial results, managing budget line items in the P&L.
• Drive safety and compliance and manage store condition and procedures.
• Lead Team Leaders and Leads with daily work assignments and training needs.
