Meijer Inc. is seeking an Area Leader to drive team engagement and development across a multi-store span of care. You will guide Leads and Team Leaders, manage area operations and financials, and implement process improvements while upholding the Meijer culture.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 4+ years in retail or customer service, and proven leadership. You will analyze financial data, recruit and develop talent, and ensure safety and compliance within a multi-state

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• A passion to provide industry leading service.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with team members to provide clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information to make informed decisions.
• Demonstrates commitment to safety and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Onboard, train, and develop team members; provide coaching and feedback for success.
• Manage staffing needs and succession planning across area of care.
• Oversee area operations and financial results; monitor budgets and P&L items.
• Drive safety, compliance, and quality across the store.
• Coach Leads and Team Leaders to assign daily work and training needs.
