Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a defined store area and assist with store operations when acting as Manager on Duty. You will open and close the store, supervise Associates, and maintain a customer-friendly shopping environment with proper merchandise presentation.

You will execute company processes, uphold safety and loss prevention, and coach front-end and stockroom teams to ensure efficient service and daily store performance.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise associates on duty.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and merchandised store environment.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and stockroom organization.
• Lead front-end operations and drive store best practices.
• Enforce loss prevention and security procedures.
• Provide strong customer service and staff coaching.
