Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to join Store Leadership. You will oversee a specific store area and the general operations when acting as Manager on Duty, opening/closing, supervising associates, and ensuring a friendly, easy-to-shop environment.

You will drive safe operations, merchandise presentation, and adherence to company policies while maintaining high customer service standards and loss-prevention practices.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication is required.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates as needed.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and a clean, safe shopping environment.
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes.
• Lead Front End supervision to manage lines and customer wait times.
• Support loss prevention, safety, and emergency procedures.
• Handle payroll administration and other administrative duties as assigned by Store Manager.
