Job summary

Choice Hotels International, Inc. seeks an Area Director, Upscale Franchise Performance to drive financial, commercial, and guest-experience performance across upscale, select-service, and full-service hotels in the region.

You will translate corporate strategies into property-level actions, coach owners and leaders, and shape revenue, marketing, and operational plans to enhance RevPAR and profitability. This is a strategic, matrixed, field-based role with exposure to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of relevant hospitality, hotel operations, franchise performance, or related experience.
• Experience advising hotel owners, operators, General Managers, or senior property leaders on financial, operational, and guest-experience performance.
• Experience evaluating hotel P&Ls and translating financial and operational data into actionable performance strategies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic advisor to franchise owners, property leaders, and above-property management teams, translating corporate strategies into actionable property-level objectives.
• Develop and influence execution of commercial, revenue, sales, and marketing strategies to improve hotel performance.
• Analyze market trends, demand drivers, competitive performance, guest feedback, and property results to identify opportunities for revenue growth and differentiation.
• Align operational, financial, and commercial priorities to strengthen RevPAR, ADR, market share, profitability, and overall hotel performance.
• Translate complex financial, operating, market, and guest data into clear recommendations for franchise owners and hotel leaders.
