Job summary

Choice Hotels is seeking an Area Director, Franchise Performance to drive commercial performance for a portfolio of midscale and upper midscale franchised hotels in the Northeast region. You will act as a trusted advisor to owners and operators, leveraging data to identify revenue opportunities and implement strategic action plans that improve RevPAR, market share, ADR, and owner profitability.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in hotel industry with commercial strategy and revenue performance responsibility.
• 10+ years hotel leadership, preferably including franchise performance or multi-property oversight.
• Proven ability to influence decisions using analytics and strategic consultation.
• Experience in a matrixed organization with influence beyond direct authority.
• Willingness to travel ~70% and adapt to a dispersed portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic commercial advisory to owners/operators using portfolio, market, and performance data.
• Drive RevPAR, market share, ADR, occupancy, and owner profitability through action plans.
• Coordinate with Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, Loyalty, Distribution, Brand, and Operations.
• Monitor dashboards and adjust strategies to improve outcomes; escalate risks as needed.
• Maintain ownership relationships and document commitments and decisions.
