Job summary

Choice Hotels International, Inc. seeks an Area Director, Franchise Performance for Core Brands to drive commercial outcomes across midscale and upper midscale franchised hotels.

You will leverage data to identify opportunities and guide owners, operators and management companies toward growth and profitability. This role partners with Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, Loyalty, Distribution, Brand and Operations to execute action plans that improve RevPAR, market share, ADR, and occupancy.

Qualifications

• Fifteen+ years in hotel industry with commercial strategy responsibility.
• Ten+ years in hotel leadership, preferably including franchise performance.
• Proven ability to influence decisions using analytics.
• Experience in a matrixed organization and cross-functional influence.
• Knowledge of revenue management, marketing, distribution and loyalty metrics.

Responsibilities

• Advise owners and operators on commercial performance and growth opportunities.
• Conduct reviews and consultations linking revenue strategy to operations and sales.
• Ensure alignment of pricing, inventory, forecasting, and segments with market conditions.
• Lead stakeholder relationships and drive accountability for action plans.
• Monitor RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, market share, and profitability and adjust strategies.
