Job summary

Project Hospitality is seeking a Full Time Program Director to oversee The Richmond and related facilities in Staten Island, NY. The role requires a Masters degree and LCSW/LMSW with administrative experience, with a focus on trauma-informed, housing-first service delivery.

You will collaborate across policy, planning, finance, and development to ensure compliant operations and effective program outcomes, including budget management and capacity expansion.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree required.
  • LCSW/LMSW with admin experience preferred, especially with our population or similar social services experience.
  • Ability to set workload priorities and balance multiple projects.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, with sensitivity to complex regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of Hospitality House, FSH, Emergency Family Shelter, and The Richmond adult family shelter, ensuring compliance with contracts, laws, and policies.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Policy & Compliance to develop trauma-informed, low-barrier, housing-first service delivery policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Planning & Evaluation to monitor program outcomes and lead quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with finance to develop and manage program budgets and ensure regulatory fiscal compliance and efficient use of resources.
  • Collaborate with development and finance to expand program capacity and secure funding via government and private proposals.
  • Provide on-call support to division Program Directors.
  • Budget oversight: Approximately $7 million.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of Hospitality House, Family Supported Housing (FSH), Emergency Family Shelter, and “The Richmond” adult family shelter, ensuring compliance with all contractual, legal, and organizational requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Policy & Compliance to develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure trauma-informed, low-barrier, and housing-first service delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Planning & Evaluation to monitor program outcomes, evaluate effectiveness, identify gaps, and lead continuous quality improvement initiatives to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with finance to develop and manage program budgets, ensuring compliance with regulatory fiscal requirements and efficient use of resources.
  • Collaborate with development and finance to expand program capacity and funding by writing government and private proposals.
  • Provide on‑call support to the division Program Directors.
  • Budget: Approximately 7 million dollars.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • LCSW/LMSW with previous administrative experience, preferably working with our population or comparable experience in the field of social services.
  • Ability to establish workload priorities and balance diverse projects.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, when interacting with individuals and groups regarding complex and sensitive issues or regulations.
  • Physical ability to perform the essential job functions.
  • Experience writing government and private proposals or working with development and finance, as related to expanding program capacity.
  • Ability to perform any duties required to meet the needs of the program and the clients served.
  • Professional flexibility to respond to changes in job duties as the needs arise.
