Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer for NANA Management Services at Maniilaq Village Health Clinics. The position follows a 1 week on, 1 week off rotation, and may require on-call duties outside business hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must pass Alaska background check and obtain/pay the Alaska Guard License fee of $97 prior to starting work.
• Must be able to cooperate and work as part of a team.
• Must be able to stand 8–12 hours per shift.
• Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read, and write English.
• Must be safety oriented as this is a safety sensitive position.
• Must meet and adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations set forth by the company and client.

Responsibilities

• monitor assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
• De-escalate situations to maintain safety of staff and customers.
• Inspect doors, windows and secure areas.
• Report incidents and data per policies.
• Assist in setting up for events and clinic preparations.
• Respond to emergencies or disasters to preserve life and property.
• May issue and record ID badges.
• May operate safety/life support programs.
• Notify supervisor of safety and sanitation issues.
• May work on-call outside normal hours.
• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
