Job summary

NANA Management Services seeks a Security Officer for Maniilaq Village Health Clinics and surrounding areas in Alaska. The role involves monitoring, de-escalation, and incident reporting in a health-clinic environment with a 1 week on/1 week off rotation. Training is provided, including lodging and transport for Kotzebue, AK.

Candidate must pass Alaska background checks, be English proficient, and able to work long shifts in a safety-conscious role with no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pass State of Alaska background check prior to starting work.
• Ability to cooperate and work as part of a team.
• Ability to make quick decisions with minimal supervision.
• Stand for 8-12 hours per shift.
• Must read/write/speak English.
• Safety-focused and adhere to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned areas by foot, roving, or in a vehicle.
• De-escalate situations to maintain safety of employees and customers.
• Inspect doors and windows to ensure security.
• Record incidents and property damage per policy.
• Assist in setting up for events and clinic functions.
• Notify supervisors of visitors and safety concerns.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain safety protocols.
• Issue and record ID badges as needed.
• Perform routine safety program monitoring and checks.
