Job summary

Worley is seeking an experienced welder for a remote Arctic construction project with an estimated duration of one year. Anticipated start date is Oct/Nov 2026. Typical schedule is 84 hours per week, with meals and lodging provided on location and transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay arranged by Worley.

Essential duties include preparing materials, welding setup, and following blueprints. NSTC training and Alaska trade schooling are preferred qualifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• NSTC certification training available via Worley.
• Knowledge of welding tools, blueprints, and safety practices.
• Ability to read drawings and follow work orders.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies as per plans.
• Prepare surfaces for welding, remove scale, rust, and moisture.
• Set up welding machines; adjust settings and detect faults.
• Operate cutting equipment for various weld procedures.
• Assist with cutting, shaping, and beveling metal per blueprints.
