Job summary

Worley Group, Inc. seeks a skilled pipe welder for a remote Arctic project. The role involves welding pipe, flanges and fittings for fabrication or repair of plant equipment, following blueprints and codes.

Expect a demanding schedule (84 hours/week) with meals and lodging provided on location, and transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay. High safety standards apply in a harsh environment.

Qualifications

• Three to five (3-5) years' experience pipe welding in an industrial environment.
• Ability to pass FCAW, GTAW and SMAW pipe weld tests.
• High School diploma or GED.
• NSTC certification training may be provided by Worley.

Responsibilities

• Constructs, maintains, and modifies piping systems and process equipment by welding pipes, flanges and fittings to meet codes and client requirements.
• Measures pipe routing and drafts pipe configuration.
• Performs repair, prep, grinding and re-weld procedures to satisfy welding codes.
• Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs cleanup.
