Job summary

Worley Group, Inc. seeks a skilled welder for an on-site Arctic project in Alaska, lasting eight to ten months with a mid-to-late May 2026 start. You will lay out, weld, cut, and fit metal, reading blueprints and using ARC, plasma, and oxy-fuel equipment.

Expect long shifts in a remote environment. Meals and lodging are provided; transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is arranged. Safety, NSTC training, and adherence to project specs are essential.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience working oilfield or petrochemical plant maintenance and/or construction.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Valid driver's license preferred including ability to be insured by Worley auto insurer.
• NSTC certification training offered by Worley if needed.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies.
• Prepare surfaces for welding ensuring cleanliness and absence of defects.
• Set up welding equipment and adjust parameters; identify faulty operation.
• Operate cutting equipment for ARC, plasma, and oxy-fuel processes.
• Assist with finishing welds and preparing material per blueprints.
• Mark material with job numbers and IDs; maintain records and housekeeping.
