NANA Management Services is seeking a Security Officer for Maniilaq Village Health Clinics and surrounding areas in Alaska. The role involves security for a health setting with a 1 week on, 1 week off rotation and potential on-call work outside normal hours.

A ten-day training program in Kotzebue, AK is required; lodging and transportation are provided for new hires. Candidates must be able to work outdoors in arctic conditions and stand 8–12 hours per shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must pass State of Alaska background check and obtain Alaska Guard License ($97).
• Must be able to cooperate and work as part of a team with fellow employees, customers, and clients.
• Must be able to make decisions in the moment with little to no supervision.
• Must be able to be on your feet for 8-12 hours per shift.
• Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read, and write English.
• Must be safety oriented as this is a safety sensitive position.

Responsabilités

• Monitors assigned areas by roving inside facilities or in a vehicle.
• De-escalates situations to ensure safety of employees, customers, and clients.
• Examines doors, windows, and areas to ensure security.
• Reports data such as property damage and unusual occurrences per policy.
• Assists in setting up events and preparing clinics for functions.
• Notifies on-site individuals of visitors.
