Job summary

NANA Management Services seeks a Security Officer to provide guard and safety services at Maniilaq Health Clinics and surrounding areas. The role includes roving patrols, de-escalation, and emergency response, with a 1 week on/1 week off rotation and an on-site learning program in Kotzebue.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Pass State of Alaska background check.
• Ability to cooperate and work as part of a team.
• Ability to make quick decisions with minimal supervision.
• Able to stand 8–12 hours per shift.
• Must speak, understand, read, and write English.
• Must be safety-oriented and follow safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned areas by visual, electronic, or audible means.
• De-escalate situations to ensure safety of employees, customers, and clients.
• Ensure doors, windows, and areas are secure.
• Report data such as property damage and incidents per policy.
• Assist in event setup and clinic preparations.
• Notify on-site personnel of visitors.
• Respond to emergencies to protect lives and property.
• May issue and record ID badges and monitor safety systems.
