NANA Management Services, LLC is seeking a Security Officer to provide security for the Maniilaq Village Health Clinics and surrounding areas. The role operates on a 1 week on, 1 week off rotation and may require on-call work outside normal hours, with a training period in Kotzebue, AK where lodging and transportation are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must pass State of Alaska background check, obtain and pay the Alaska Guard License fee of $97 prior to beginning work.
• Must cooperate and work as part of a team with fellow employees, customers, and clients.
• Must be able to make decisions in the moment with little to no supervision.
• Must be able to be on your feet for 8-12 hours per shift.
• Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read, and write English.
• Must be safety oriented as this is a safety sensitive position.
• Must meet and adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations set forth by the company and client.

Responsabilités

• Personally monitors either visually, electronically, or audibly a variety of assigned areas, or grounds by roving inside facilities, in a vehicle, or other locations deemed appropriate.
• Ensures own actions and those of others observe maximum level of safety and compliance.
• Verbally de-escalate situations to ensure safety of fellow employees, customers, and clients.
• Examines doors, windows, and other areas to determine they are secure.
• Reports and records data such as property damage or unusual occurrences per policy.
• Assists in setting up for events and preparing the clinic for functions.
• Warns violators and may apprehend or expel violators.
• Notifies on-site individuals of visitors wishing to see them.
• Responds to emergencies or disasters to preserve life and property; follows fire safety and active shooter protocols.
• May perform routine input or monitoring of safety or life-support programs.
• May issue and record ID badges.
• May check heating, lighting, sprinkling, security, ventilation, and fire systems.
• May also be combined with other position duties.
• Notify supervisor if safety and sanitation standards are not met.
