Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Resource Manager for the Architectural Department within the Data Center Performance Unit. The role optimizes staffing, forecasts needs, supports recruitment and onboarding, and ensures efficient project delivery across a growing data center portfolio.

You’ll report to the Department Manager and work with leadership, Sector Managers, and program staff to align resources with strategic goals. Hybrid work is encouraged across U.S. offices.

Qualifications

  • Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) or Bachelor's in business administration, HR, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in architecture, operations management, resource management, or related field
  • Experience with developing work plans and assigning staff to execute work
  • Strong scheduling, resourcing, and reporting skills using MS Office/M365 and resource-management software
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities across a growing team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for senior leadership audiences
  • Discretion handling confidential personnel, budget, and client information

Responsibilities

  • Track and report staff resourcing and utilization; maintain the resource-allocation system
  • Lead staffing organization efforts with Sector Managers and Program Managers
  • Coordinate staffing needs with other departments and business units
  • Forecast staffing needs based on project pipeline and workload
  • Identify resource gaps and provide recommendations to leadership
  • Prepare recurring operational reports for leadership and VP/BD Director
  • Maintain staff records: location, salary, role, credentials
  • Assist in developing proposals; outline LOE hours and FTEs
  • Develop and maintain SharePoint file organization standards
  • Coordinate performance evaluations between staff and managers
  • Collaborate with recruiting agents on scheduling and ATS administration
  • Coordinate offers with leadership, recruiting, HR
  • Facilitate onboarding with HR, IT, local office admins
  • Coordinate local office onboarding and security access
  • Review and approve staff timesheets
  • Serve as liaison to centralized HR/Finance/Legal/IT/Marketing
  • Support reciprocity for architectural licensure where required
  • Organize monthly department staff meetings
