Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Resource Manager for the Architectural Department within the Data Center Performance Unit. You will optimize staffing, forecast needs, and support recruitment and onboarding to ensure efficient project delivery as the data-center portfolio expands.

You will report to Department Manager and collaborate with Sector Managers, Program Managers, and leadership. Hybrid work is supported, with consideration of office locations and remote options.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) or Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in architecture, operations management, resource management, or a related professional discipline.
• Experience with developing work plans and assigning staff to execute the work.
• Strong proficiency with scheduling, resourcing, and reporting tools (e.g., MS Office/Microsoft 365, resource-management software).
• Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities across a growing team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfort preparing materials for senior leadership audiences.
• Discretion in handling confidential personnel, budget, and client information.

Responsibilities

• Track and report staff resourcing and utilization; maintain the department's resource-allocation system including staff roles, LOE and hours.
• Lead staffing organization efforts; review assignments with Department Leadership.
• Coordinate staffing needs with other departments and units such as Global Integrated Delivery (GID).
• Forecast staffing needs based on project pipeline and workload.
• Identify resource gaps and provide recommendations to leadership.
• Prepare recurring operational reporting for Department Leadership and VP/Business Unit Director.
• Maintain records of staff information like location, salary, role, credentials.
• Support development of proposals for new work and define LOE hours and FTEs.
