SOCOTEC, Inc. is seeking a Proposal Writer for its Buildings & Real Estate (BRE) team. This full-time role requires coordinating proposals and estimates under the Proposal Manager, with a strong emphasis on client communication and teamwork.

You will develop technical proposals, gather inputs from service line leaders, and ensure responses meet client requirements. The position blends in-office collaboration with some remote work and offers mentorship and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 1–2 years of proposal writing and estimating experience desirable.
• Exceptional analytical, creative problem solving and written communication skills.
• Maintain composure and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiar with Microsoft Copilot and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign).
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Participate in daily team scrum to review proposal priorities and progress.
• Review assigned proposal requests, assess requirements and identify appropriate team leaders.
• Develop technical proposals based on templates and estimates for level of effort and fees.
• Conduct research and meetings to ensure proposals reflect SOCOTEC’s expertise.
• Review proposals with team leaders and ensure client requirements are met.
• Collaborate with Legal and Finance to produce complete proposal packages.
• Collaborate with fellow writers to ensure clarity, grammar and spelling.
• Contact clients to obtain information needed to develop proposals.
