Job summary

SOCOTEC US is seeking a Proposal Writer for the Buildings & Real Estate (BRE) practice to develop proposals and estimates. The role requires coordinating with service line leaders, legal, and finance to deliver competitive packages.

You will gather client needs, craft narratives, and refine templates to reflect SOCOTEC’s technical strengths in high-performance buildings and energy efficiency. Four in-office days are required with one hybrid/remote day.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 1–2 years of experience in proposal writing and estimating.
• Experience at an architecture, engineering, marketing or consulting firm is desirable.
• Exceptional analytical, creative problem solving and written communication skills.
• Maintain composure and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines while managing multiple proposals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate proposals and estimates under the direction of the Proposal Manager.
• Interact with clients and technical leads to define scope, timelines and fees.
• Prepare technical proposals based on templates and effort estimates.
• Research information and attend meetings with service line leaders to highlight SOCOTEC’s strengths.
• Ensure proposals comply with client requirements and are accurate and clear.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance and other writers to assemble complete packages.
