SOCOTEC, a leader in building envelope and sustainability consulting, seeks a Proposal Writer for its Buildings & Real Estate practice in the US. The role focuses on developing proposals for private and public-sector clients, coordinating with service line leaders, and delivering high-quality collateral that showcases SOCOTEC’s technical expertise.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years of proposal writing and estimating experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1–2 years proposal writing/estimating experience desirable.
• Strong writing and analytical abilities under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook; familiarity with InDesign is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate proposals and estimates under the Proposal Manager.
• Participate in daily team scrum and coordinate input from service line leaders.
• Review proposal requests, identify input providers, and ensure scope and fees are appropriate.
• Prepare technical proposals from templates and compile related cost estimates.
• Collaborate with Legal and Finance to deliver complete proposal packages.
• Review language for clarity, accuracy, and grammar; ensure client requirements are met.
• Maintain client and project data in the CRM (Deltek).
