Job summary

FINRA is seeking an administrative professional to support arbitration case processing in a hybrid Chicago environment. The role involves intake analysis, drafting deficiency notices, handling pleadings, and managing calendars and fees.

Strong MS Office and customer service skills are essential, with familiarity in electronic docket systems a plus. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of related experience, and offers opportunities to interact with arbitrators and panel

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of related experience or equivalent.
  • Strong computer skills with the full MS Office suite.
  • Familiarity with electronic docket management programs and web-based Portal systems a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal skills, and written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Case intake and prepare case for service by analyzing initial pleadings.
  • Process initial claims and draft deficiency notices.
  • Analyze subsequent pleadings and monitor deadlines and expectations.
  • Maintain motions calendar and prepare documentation for timely submission to arbitrators.
  • Assess applicable fees and write fee waiver recommendations.
  • Review challenges to potential arbitrators and make recommendations.
  • Utilize the ODR Portal and docket management systems for processing assignments.
  • Provide excellent customer service regarding FINRA arbitration policies and procedures.
