Job summary

Fortune Fish & Gourmet is seeking an Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist in Houston, TX. You will manage a portfolio of customer accounts, collect on outstanding invoices, and maintain accurate financial records.

Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential to resolve disputes and establish payment arrangements. The role emphasizes attention to detail, teamwork with Sales, and timely reporting to the Collections Supervisor.

Qualifications

3+ years in Accounts Receivable or Collections.
Ability to resolve disputes and set up payment plans.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in records.
MS Office proficiency; Dynamics BC a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct high-volume outbound collection calls and negotiate payment resolutions with customers.
Maintain customer relationships and manage customer accounts.
Investigate and resolve payment disputes, deduction issues and account discrepancies.
Monitor customer payment trends and identify potential collection risks.
Ensure accurate documentation of customer communications and collection activities within the ERP system.
Work with the Sales Department to ensure AR activities are compliant with established protocol.
Provide reporting to the Collections Supervisor.
Assist with year-end audits.
Other duties as assigned by the Collections Supervisor.
