Job summary

Fortune Fish & Gourmet is seeking an Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist to manage a broad portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of invoices and accurate financial records.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of AR/collections experience, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and a detail-oriented approach to balancing collection goals with positive customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of AR, collections or related accounting experience.
• Strong negotiation and customer contact skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Outlook; Microsoft Dynamics BC a plus.
• Team player with solid communication and collaboration within accounting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-volume outbound collection calls and negotiate payment resolutions.
• Maintain customer relationships and manage AR accounts.
• Investigate and resolve payment disputes and account discrepancies.
• Monitor payment trends and identify collection risks.
• Document communications and collection activities in the ERP system.
• Work with Sales to ensure AR activities comply with protocol.
• Provide reporting to Collections Supervisor.
• Assist with year-end audits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
