Position Overview

Key Staffing is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to support the accounting department of an established agricultural company in Delano, CA. This is a temporary opportunity with the potential to transition into a permanent, full-time position depending on seasonal business needs. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of strong accounts receivable experience, excellent attention to detail, and the confidence to communicate directly with customers regarding invoices, outstanding balances, and payment discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, process, and issue accurate customer invoices for agricultural products and services.


• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and proactively follow up on outstanding or overdue payments.


• Record and apply customer payments, credits, and account adjustments accurately.


• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate billing or payment discrepancies.


• Communicate professionally with customers regarding payment status, billing questions, and account balances.


• Utilize customer portals to manage invoices and payment information.


• Collaborate with internal accounting and operations teams to ensure billing accuracy.


• Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.


• Assist with month-end closing, account reconciliations, and accounts receivable reporting.


• Support audits and assist with maintaining accurate financial documentation.


• Provide exceptional customer service and build positive working relationships with customers.


• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on accounts receivable experience.


• Strong understanding of invoicing, payment posting, account reconciliation, and collections.


• Confidence communicating directly with customers regarding outstanding balances, billing concerns, and payment discrepancies.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting software.


• Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to research and resolve account discrepancies independently.


• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the accounting team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Sage accounting software and Bill.com is a plus but not required.


• Previous accounts receivable experience in agriculture or a related industry.


• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
