Job summary

Texas Biomedical Research Institute is seeking a Project Manager in its Applied Science and Innovation division to support scientific and research studies in the Program Management Office. You will maintain project documentation, develop and track timelines in MS Project, and coordinate study intake and kickoff logistics.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and reporting skills, with responsibility for cross‑functional meetings, sponsor deliverables, scope and budget

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM preferred.
• 2+ years in scientific/technical/government research environment.
• Formal project management certification (PMP, PgMP or CAPM) preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Project and Excel; strong PM lifecycle knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain project documentation, trackers, RAID logs, action items and deliverables.
• Prepare timelines using MS Project and standardized templates; surface delays.
• Administer study intake, readiness checklists, and kickoff logistics.
• Coordinate among study directors, technical teams and support units.
• Lead cross-functional meetings; create agendas, capture outcomes and follow-ups.
• Develop and manage project timelines in MS Project; adjust in real time.
• Draft and submit sponsor deliverables and reports on time.
• Monitor scope, schedule and budget; identify risks and mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with QC/QA and regulatory staff for compliance.
