Job summary

Lundquist Institute for Biomedical Innovation at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center seeks a Program Project Manager to provide scientific, operational, and administrative leadership for a biomedical research laboratory and its programs.

You will supervise staff, coordinate with Institute departments and external partners, and ensure milestones, grant submissions, and regulatory activities are completed on schedule. Advanced molecular/cancer biology knowledge is required.

Qualifications

• More than seven years of experience running or managing a biomedical research laboratory.
• Strong supervisory experience across technicians and staff.
• Advanced knowledge of molecular biology and laboratory protocols.
• Experience coordinating grants, budgets, and regulatory activities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day scientific, technical, and administrative activities.
• Oversee staff and coordinate multiple programs and milestones.
• Review monthly and annual laboratory finances with leadership.
• Coordinate grant submissions and regulatory documentation.
• Foster collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Ensure timely reporting and compliance across projects.
