Job summary

Texas Biomedical Research Institute seeks a seasoned PMO leader to direct the Applied Science and Innovation portfolio. You will drive governance, strategy, and scalable processes to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery across multiple programs.

The role requires 10+ years of project management experience, with at least five years in leadership, PMP/PgMP certification, and strong Lean Six Sigma or Agile credentials. Join a mission-driven team advancing infectious disease research.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Biological/Life Sciences or related field.
• 10 years of project and program management experience with at least five years in a leadership role.
• PMP or PgMP certification required; Lean Six Sigma and Agile certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction, leadership, training and motivation to ensure successful delivery of projects and programs.
• Lead the development, implementation, and scaling of the PMO structure, including governance.
• Coach, lead, mentor, and develop a team of Program Managers and staff.
• Monitor interdependencies and resolve resource conflicts with leaders across the organization.
• Oversee resource allocation and project execution across the portfolio.
• Report PMO performance using KPIs to executive leadership.
