ABB is seeking an Applications Expert for our Critical Power (ELSP) portfolio in the United States. You will lead as the subject matter authority on customer applications and solution design, developing standards, reference architectures, and best practices to empower the sales team and guide Product Management and R&D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Energy Systems, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience as a customer application engineer or related experience.
• Proven experience in Critical Power, UPS, Energy Storage, Power Conversion, or related applications.
• Understanding of customer applications, solution architectures, market segments, and channel dynamics.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into differentiated solutions aligned with strategy.

• Builds expertise in customer applications, solution architectures, market segments, channels, and value propositions for the ELSP portfolio.
• Develops and maintains standards, tools, and best practices for customer applications.

• Facilitates cross-functional coordination for strategic applications as a SME.
• Promotes collaboration with Sales, Product Management, R&D, and other Agile Units.
• Supports growth by influencing product specifications and customer requirements.
