Job summary

Excellus BlueCross BlueShield is seeking a Manager, Applications Development to oversee IT staff, drive development of new applications, and maintain production systems. You will partner with business stakeholders to align tech solutions with processes, ensure uptime, and manage incidents within SLA targets.

Qualifications

• Five years of related work experience, with at least two years in staff management.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field; in lieu of degree, six additional years of experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Agile and Waterfall SDLCs; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee IT portfolio of applications and governance of the eSDLC within the team.
• Act as IT Product Owner, driving platform currency and remediation of vulnerabilities.
• Support backlog refinement with IT Business Analyst and executives; clarify intent and options.
• Improve process efficiency and output in partnership with business stakeholders.
• Manage production support activities: change management, incident management, on-call scheduling.
• Lead and sponsor corporate strategic projects; manage budgets, schedules and quality.
