Job summary

Groundswell is seeking an experienced Appian Test Engineering Lead to support the development of web-based applications with automation testing expertise. You will shape the QA program, design test strategies, and lead a testing team to ensure quality across releases.

The role requires 5+ years of software testing, 2+ years of automation experience, and strong leadership. The team may work fully remote or in hybrid configurations, with security clearances as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in information technology or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• 5+ years of software testing experience with developers, project/release managers, system admins, business analysts, and DBAs.
• 2+ years of automation testing experience.
• Experience leading a team and mentoring junior team members.
• Experience interpreting requirements, writing QA docs (e.g. Test Reports), and writing UAT plans.

Responsibilities

• Play a strategic role in the overall design and implementation of the quality assurance program.
• Lead the development of overall test strategy, test environment design, and test data.
• Provide leadership in the selection, training, mentoring, and evaluations of testing team members.
• Plan, execute, and report on software development and maintenance testing.
• Review and provide recommendations regarding test documentation.
• Develop test plans and procedures based on requirements documents.
