Groundswell is seeking an experienced Appian Test Engineering Lead to support web applications with automation testing. You will shape QA strategy, lead test design, and mentor a testing team to deliver reliable software.

The role requires 5+ years in software testing, 2+ years in automation, and strong collaboration across development and operations. Remote/hybrid options apply with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field from an accredited college/university.
• 5+ years of software testing experience collaborating with multiple roles.
• 2+ years of automation testing experience required.
• Experience leading a team and mentoring junior members.
• Experience interpreting requirements and writing test documentation and acceptance criteria.
• Knowledge of test management, automation toolsets, and processes.
• Knowledge of performance testing cadence and processes.
• Proficiency with test automation and test management tools like Playwright and Selenium.

Responsibilities

• Play a strategic role in designing and implementing the QA program.
• Lead the development of overall test strategy and data design.
• Provide leadership in hiring, training, and performance evaluations of testing staff.
• Plan, execute, and report on software development and maintenance testing.
• Review and recommend improvements to test documentation.
• Develop test plans and procedures from requirements documents.
• Develop data collection plans and train operators and data collectors.
• Review data collection forms and operational logs for completeness.
• Review Test Incident Reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Support analysis of user requirements and design test plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with testing groups on issues and topics; communicate upgrades and downtimes.
• Report bugs effectively and escalate issues as needed.
• Perform technical reviews and ensure adherence to quality processes.
