Job summary

Groundswell is seeking an experienced Appian Test Engineering Lead to support the development of web-based applications, with strong automation testing experience. You will lead test strategy, environment design, and data planning, while mentoring junior testers in a fully remote and/or hybrid setting.

You will oversee test planning, execution, and reporting, review documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and timely delivery. A U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
• 5+ years of software testing experience working with developers and managers.
• 2+ years of automation testing experience.
• Experience leading a team and mentoring junior members.
• Knowledge of test management, automation toolsets and processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of the quality assurance program.
• Develop overall test strategy, environment design, and test data.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate testing team members.
• Plan, execute, and report on software development and maintenance testing.
• Review and provide recommendations on test documentation.
• Create test plans and procedures based on requirements and data.
• Develop data collection plans and train operators.
• Review data collection forms and logs for accuracy.
• Assess Test Incident Reports for completeness.
• Collaborate with testing groups on issues and topics.
• Communicate upgrades, downtimes, and system changes promptly.
• Report bugs and escalate issues as needed.
• Perform technical reviews to ensure adherence to quality processes.
