Job summary

Groundswell is seeking an experienced Appian Test Engineering Lead to support the development of web-based applications with automation testing expertise. You will lead the QA program, design test strategy, and mentor a testing team in a fully remote and/or hybrid environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in IT, 5+ years of software testing, 2+ years of automation testing, and proficiency with Playwright and Selenium.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in information technology or related discipline.
• 5+ years of software testing experience.
• 2+ years of automation testing experience.
• Experience leading a team and mentoring junior members.
• Experience interpreting requirements, writing quality control documentation (e.g. Test Reports), and writing user acceptance test plans (including Acceptance Criteria)
• Knowledge of Test Management, Automation toolsets and processes
• Knowledge of Performance Testing process and cadence
• Proficiency with test automation and test management tools, like Playwright and Selenium
• Great organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and communicate and work productively as part of fully remote and/or hybrid teams
• Must be a U.S. citizenin accordance withcontract requirements.Must be able to obtain and maintain any required government security clearance or background check.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the QA program.
• Lead test strategy, environments, and data.
• Provide leadership in hiring, training, mentoring testing team members.
• Plan, execute, and report testing for software development and maintenance.
• Review and recommend test documentation.
• Develop test plans and procedures based on requirements.
• Develop data collection plans and train operators.
• Review data collection forms and operational logs.
• Review Test Incident Reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Support analysis of user requirements and assist in test plan design.
• Collaborate with testing groups on issues and topics.
• Communicate upgrades, downtimes, system changes, or issues.
• Report bugs and escalate issues as needed.
• Perform technical reviews; ensure adherence to quality processes.
