Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Specialist – Apparel to join our in-store team. You will combine product knowledge with strong service to help athletes find the right apparel for performance and everyday wear, building confidence and delivering engaging shopping experiences.

You’ll work with teammates to maintain merchandising standards, support training, and drive sales through knowledgeable recommendations while maintaining an athlete-first mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience.
• Previous retail or customer-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers an outstanding athlete experience by proactively engaging athletes to understand their shopping needs and provide accurate product information.
• Assists with onboarding and training of new and existing team members as subject matter expert of their area.
• Demonstrates efficiency in process execution while maintaining an athlete-first mindset and ensuring products are ready for purchase.
• Upholds merchandising and presentation standards with floor plans, signage, price changes, and inventory presentation.
• Promotes customer participation in company programs (loyalty, warranties, private label credit).
• Creates an inclusive store environment; adheres to safety, loss prevention and SOPs, and applicable laws.
