Job summary

Alpha is hiring a Lower School Teacher (Guides) at a Greenwich, CT campus. You will guide K–3 students through app-based learning, diagnose reading gaps, and lead targeted literacy sessions while maintaining daily goals and data-driven progress checks.

Responsibilities include morning launches, life-skills workshops, and continuous support through lunch and recess to ensure each child meets reading targets. Relocation support is provided and on-site work is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in any subject; teaching certificate not required.
• Structured-literacy training or a master’s in reading is required or strongly preferred.
• Experience with reading platforms (Amira, Lexia, i-Ready) or diagnostic assessments (DRA, DIBELS, AIMSweb) is valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead K-3 guided reading and core literacy instruction using app-based learning.
• Diagnose reading gaps and design targeted 15-minute intervention sequences.
• Stay with students through lunch and after-school routines, adjusting plans to close gaps.
