Job summary

Alpha is seeking Guides to lead K-3 literacy lessons using app-based core learning. You will diagnose gaps, design short intervention sequences, and monitor progress with weekly data for families.

The role blends whole-class routines with targeted sessions and requires on-site commitment. Applicants should have structured-literacy training (e.g., LETRS, IMSE, Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, Fundations) or a masters in reading, and a Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of reading instruction experience in K-3 within the last 5 years.
• Completed structured-literacy training: LETRS, IMSE, Orton-Gillingham, Wilson etc., or a masters in reading or literacy.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Coach K-3 students through app-based core learning, identifying gaps and setting daily goals.
• Lead targeted literacy sessions for small groups (2–4 students).
• Maintain proximity with students through routines (lunch, recess, closing) and monitor progress.
• Drive students toward weekly app goals using gamification and leaderboards.
• Record and respond to progress with data for parents and stakeholders.
